2009 ScheduleFebruary 12 - 23 April 10 - 11 Ongoing May through November August 30 - September 5 October 25 - November 5 February 12 - 27, 2010 6-Weekend Permaculture Design Course at Ashevillage(June 19-21, July 18-19, August 14-16, September 19-20, October 17-18, and November 21-22) Ashevillage Institute, an emerging urban education center and living laboratory for sustainable solutions in action, is located in a cluster of houses in a neighborhood a few blocks from downtown Asheville, North Carolina. Take the long route to Permaculture Design certification, and engage in the sustainable practices at Ashevillage, from June to November. This course will introduce you to the essential principles and practices of permaculture, an ecological design system for creating abundant regenerative human habitats. You’ll get to observe and interact with the systems that you helped to put into place. And you’ll have opportunities for connecting with your fellow students, teachers and the folks at Ashevillage itself. Because of the weekend format, the students in this course will be relatively local, which means that you will be forming sustainability networks with people in your bioregion. Students receive a Permculture Design certificate up completion. For more information about or to register for the courses at Ashevillage, see the Kleiwerks website or contact Ashevillage at avi@kleiwerks.org. |
